Defining Pediatric Sepsis

Abstract

This Viewpoint discusses the difficulties in applying the definitions of sepsis and the considerable discrepancies in applying definitions of pediatric sepsis, leading to a large variation in incidence estimates when comparing clinical, administrative, and research data.
