The paper describes a teaching intervention that develops Kindergarten students' understanding of mathematical pattern and structure across number, space and measurement. The intervention is part of the 'Pattern and Structure Mathematics Awareness Program' (PASMAP). Results indicate an overall qualitative improvement in students' structural awareness and representational abilities.
