Serine alleviates oxidative stress via supporting glutathione synthesis and methionine cycle in mice

Abstract

Our results indicated that serine supplementation alleviated oxidative stress via supporting glutathione synthesis and methionine cycle, mostly by condensing with homocysteine to synthesize cysteine and providing one-carbon units for homocysteine remethylation.
