This is the first report from the Cameroon Demographic and Health Survey of 1991. The survey included 3538 households 3871 women aged 15-49 and 814 husbands. Topics covered include survey methodology and respondent characteristics fertility family planning nuptiality and exposure to risk of pregnancy fertility preferences maternal and child health infant nutrition and breast-feeding mortality among children under five causes of child mortality the husbands survey and the availability of community services.
