Network virtualization is to deal with the ossification of current network architecture. Virtual network embedding is a key issue in network virtualization. Many VNE algorithms have been proposed in the literature. There is also a great need of simulation platform to integrate VNE algorithms for evaluation. ALEVIN is an open Java project for integrating and evaluating VNE algorithms. However, ALEVIN has several items that have not been solved. The authors further develos a function of randomly generating network scenarios, along with the network elements' resources, to directly fulfill the simulation settings in TON and TNSW. What's more, an exact algorithm VNE-ILP is proposed by the authors and added to ALEVIN. A comparison with three typical algorithms is made to highlight both two new functions added in ALEVIN.
