The effects of radiation on heat transfer from a horizontal plate are investigated in a two-dimensional, incompressible, steady and viscous flow using Optimal Homotopy Asymptotic Method (OHAM). The governing continuity, momentum and energy equations are transformed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity variables. The variations of dimensionless temperature and Nusselt number for different values of Prandtl number and radiation parameter are compared with numerical values obtained by Runge-Kutta Fehlberg fourth-fifth order method and displayed graphically. The comparison shows good agreement between OHAM results and the numerical results.
