Thermal Boundary Layers

Thermal Boundary Layers is a convective heat-transfer boundary-layer concept that denotes the near-wall region of a flowing fluid in which a temperature difference between a solid surface and the free stream produces significant temperature gradients and thermal diffusion, typically extending from the surface to the location where the fluid temperature reaches approximately 99% of the free-stream temperature.
