Abstract

The present paper is intended for the detection and diagnosis of open-circuit faults in a three phase voltage inverter fed induction motor. Two techniques are being presented and used in order to achieve the open-circuit faults detection and localization. The paper concludes with a comparison between both these two techniques supported by some simulation and experimental results in order to illustrate the merits and effectiveness of each of them.
