The article considers some questions about teaching foreign languages to IT-students of an engineering faculty for them to acquire skills of technical translation from a foreign language into Russian using modern means of information and communication technologies, such as professional translation software and electronic dictionaries. The benefits of translation memory programs are emphasized.
