This paper compares between different techniques of self-tuning FOPID control for Brushless DC motor. The aim from this comparison discovering the sensitive FOPID controller parameters, which will give better performance when it will be tuned online. The FOPID control contains five parameters, the fuzzy logic control will be used to tune the FOPID controller parameters through different techniques. The first technique will be tuned the proportional, integral and derivative gains only, while in the second technique will be adapted the fractional order integral and derivative gains only. The third technique will be modified the five parameters of FOPID control simultaneously online. The presented simulation results illustrate that the second technique of self-tuning FOPID control is more robustness respect to other techniques.
