Antidiabetic, hypolipidemic and hepatoprotective effects of <i>Arctium lappa</i> root's hydro-alcoholic extract on nicotinamide-streptozotocin induced type 2 model of diabetes in male mice.

Abstract

The results showed that <i>A. lappa</i> root extract, at specific doses, has an anti-diabetic effect through its hypolipidemic and insulinotropic properties. Hence, this plant extract may be beneficial in the treatment of diabetes.
