Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a rapidly progressing, phenotypically heterogeneous neurodegenerative disease affecting mainly the motor neuron system. The present voxelbased morphometry (VBM) study investigated whether patterns of brain atrophy differ among sporadic ALS subtypes.
