Abstract

This collection of articles provides an introduction to some of the newer techniques available in microwave spectroscopy, aimed mainly at readers who already have a grounding in the classical techniques of the subject, but wish to be brought up to date on modern developments. After an introductory chapter summarising conventional spectrometer techniques, there follow chapters on microwave-microwave and infrared-microwave double resonance, which stress the extra information and sensitivity to be gained over conventional methods, though at the expense of added experimental complexity.
