Abstract

This book provides a useful and concise review of theoretical treatments of scattering and energy loss processes for electrons or ions in solids. Particular emphasis is given to inelastic scattering in crystals and the phenomena of channelling and dechannelling, to the theory of which Professor Ohtsuki has himself made notable contributions.
