The external diameters of the scopes are 6.6mm. (CHF-X1) and 4.5mm. (CHF-X2). Water irrigation and forceps manipulation can be performed simultaneously with the CHF-X1 scope but only irrigation can be done with the CHF-X2 scope. The scopes were reliable and allowed easy endoscopic forceps manipulation. Improvements for an ideal fiberoptic nephroscope are discussed. © 1978 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByMiki M and Machida T (2018) Transforceps Operative NephroscopeJournal of Urology, VOL. 129, NO. 2, (260-262), Online publication date: 1-Feb-1983.Gittes R (2018) Editorial CommentJournal of Urology, VOL. 129, NO. 2, (262-262), Online publication date: 1-Feb-1983.
