With the rapidly development of wireless communication, security authentication has became more and more significant for avoiding the repeated establishment of authentication facilities for various applications. In cyber network, it could be well satisfied with universal authentication architecture put forward by 3GPP. However, these schemes can not be wellhandled the situation that massive Machine to machine (M2M) devices request access the core network simultaneously. Compared with the current existing scheme, we propose a group-based secure authentication and key agreement (GBS-AKA) scheme, which makes our scheme to reduce the majority redundant signaling, and lighten the level of congestion in the core network. Furthermore, it could decrease the authentication delay distinctly and prevent against varieties of malware attacks. The security of GBS-AKA is demonstrated by analyzing the security propertiesand compared with related existing scheme in details. And thenumeric result shown that our scheme can greatly improve bandwidth consumption and signaling congestion.
