Reclaiming the White Coat for Black Lives

Abstract

The authors reflect on the White Coats for Black Lives (WC4BL) social organization as of 2016, and it mentions how the group is comprised of various medical students who support the Black Lives Matter social movement and are concerned about issues such as anti-Black racism in America. According to the article, WC4BL was founded in 2015 in an effort to eliminate racial bias in the practice of medicine. The history of the Black Panther Party is also examined.
