Abstract

Abstract Various chlorodifluoromethyl ketones underwent the aldol-type reaction with aldehydes or ketones by the action of titanium tetrachloride and zinc reagent in tetrahydrofuran at room temperature to give moderate to good yields of α,α-difluorinated β-hydroxy ketones.
