Abstract

Abstract This paper presents some new data concerning the Caledonian-Variscan evolution of the Śnieznik metamorphic area (the Klodzko region) where 3 main lithological divisions have been known for a long time: two groups of gneisses (the Śnieznik gneisses and the Gieraltow gneisses) and a metasedimentary series (the Stronie series). On the basis of field observations and new geochemical and isotopic studies of the gneisses, an attempt to define their space and time relationships, their origin and the structural context of their emplacement has been made. Finally, a hypothesis for the evolution of this area in the period between ~460 and ~330 Ma is proposed. Wiek, znaczenie i ewolucja strukturalna kaledonsko-waryscyjskich granitognejsow metamorfiku Śnieznika w Sudetach Środkowych - studium geochemiczne Abstrakt Artykul zawiera niektore nowe dane dotyczące kaledonsko-waryscyjskiej ewolucji metamorfiku Śnieznika, gdzie od dawna znane są 3 glowne jednostki litologiczne: dwie grupy gnejsow (gnejsy śnieznickie i gnejsy gieraltowskie) i zmetamorfizowana seria suprakrustalna (seria stronska).
