Abstract

Presentation of CaseA 70-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of fever and obtundation.The patient was well and caring for a demented sister at home until six days earlier, when she began to feel weak and noticed a rise of the temperature to 38.9°C. Three days before admission she spoke rationally to her physician by telephone. On the following day a friend observed that she was sleepy and incoherent.
