Abstract

Four cases of osteoid osteoma located in the distal end of the humerus in or near the elbow joint are reviewed. Despite intensive clinical and laboratory investigation, including many roentgenograms, a definite diagnosis of osteoid osteoma was not made preoperatively. Eventual surgical exploration, with removal of the osteoid osteoma, gave relief of symptoms in all four patients.
