SUMMARY A 1½-year-old male Doberman Pinscher with a 6-month history of recurrent cystitis had enlarged tarsal and carpal joints. Radiography revealed a mass in the urinary bladder. There was evidence of hypertrophic osteoarthropathy of the 6th lumbar vertebra and the bones of the carpal and tarsal joints. The pathologic diagnosis was nonmetastatic botryoid rhabdomyosarcoma of the urinary bladder and hypertrophic osteoarthropathy.
