Abstract

Surgical stress depressed the cytotoxic activity of liver NPCs and enhanced the growth of metastatic liver tumors. This suggests the possibility that perioperative immunotherapy might be clinically useful in the future to prevent liver metastases after gastrointestinal surgery.
