Objective:To investigation the expression and significance of CD133 in pancreatic cancer and their association with the clinical pathologic characters. Methods:Immunohisto-chemistry staining was used to detect the expression of CD133 in 58 pancreatic cancer tissues, pericarcinomatous tissues and nontumorous tissues. The correlations among the variety of expression of CD133 and pancreatic clinical pathologic characters were statistically analyze. Results:The expression rate of CD133 was 63.8%(37/58)and it was declining among pancreatic cancer tissues, pericarcinomatous tissues and normal pancreatic tissues. The expression of CD133 was associated with lymph node metastasis(P0.005),pathological grade(P0.05)and histological differentiation(P0.01). Conclusion:CD133 has higher relationship with the arising and development of pancreatic cancer, also with it's the clinical pathologic stages, histological type, lymphatic metastasis.
