Abstract

Increased patients' age and the therapeutic delay, predicted outcome after surgical treatment of PPU. Morbidity and mortality could be reduced by avoiding delays in diagnosis and treatment, especially in older patients, and by instituting proper treatment of any coexisting medical illness.
