Abstract

Abstract cis-Bis(2-methoxyphenyl)bis(triphenylphosphane)platinum(II) has been synthesized and its molecular and crystal structure determined by X-ray analysis. The structure is discussed with respect to the transition state of the thermal reductive elimination of 2,2′ -bismethoxybiphenyl.
