Total Synthesis of (-)-Pyrenophorol

Abstract

An efficient synthetic route has been developed for the synthesis of (-)-pyrenophorol employing Sharpless asymmetric epoxidation, olefin cross-metathesis, and intermolecular Mitsunobu cyclization.
