SummaryThe spatial ventricular gradient was determined in 256 electrocardiograms by means of a digital electronic computer. This automatic procedure allowed separation of normal and abnormal records with a high degree of precision. Of all cases with old myocardial infarctions, which are of prime interest in electrocardiographic diagnosis, 98% were recognized as abnormal.
