Abstract

Circulating N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide and high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T are frequently elevated in severe sepsis or septic shock and have relevant prognostic value, which may be important in monitoring the clinical efficacy of supporting therapy.
