Fiber Motion in Roller Drafting

Abstract

Processing in spinning mills demands high precision and reliability from the machinery. Accurate information on the processing stages of production and precise quality monitoring are required in yarn manufacturing. We present a new technology for measuring fibers during the drafting process. Using luminous tracer fibers, we can obtain signals from the fiber bundle. Initial measurements and interpretations are shown.
