Abstract

Hospitalized alcoholics recalled lists of random and related words as well as nonalcoholic patients. On seoond trial the alcoholics showed less learning increment than the nonalcoholics, and newly hospitalized alcoholics less than those hospitalized 3 weeks. The results in serial learning were similar to those in freerecall tests.
