Three compounds, acetyltagitinin E (1), tagitinin-F (2) and hispidulin (3), were isolated from the leaves of Tithonia diversifolia. The stereochemistry of 1 was further supported by X-ray crystallography. The cytotoxicityof these compounds was also determined. Compounds 1 and 2 showed selective cytotoxicity to Hep G2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cells.
