Abstract

A study of 37 cases of proved or suspected pancreatic diseases indicates that “B” mode contact echographic scanning is useful in the detection, diagnosis, and delineation of extent of pathologic processes in the pancreas. Pancreatic edema, pseudocysts, and carcinomas have been successfully detected. The echographic picture frequently is characteristic.
