Abstract Benzoic acid, acetylsalicylic acid, and 4‐acetamidobenzoic acid have been covalently linked by ester bonds to α,β‐poly( N ‐hydroxyethyl)‐ DL ‐aspartamide (PHEA), a water soluble and nontoxic polymer, in order to study PHEA as a drug carrier.
