Review of long wavelength single-mode optical fiber reflectometry techniques

Abstract

This paper reviews the worldwide activity on long-wavelength ( <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">&gt;1.1-\mu</tex> m) single-mode optical fiber reflectometry and compares and contrasts the many different approaches being taken to equipment design.
