Abstract

A new WR star in the Small Magellanic Cloud identified on a UK Schmidt Telescope objective prism plate is found to be similar in character to other SMC WR stars in that it has weak emission lines plus an O-star absorption spectrum. It is classified as WN2.5 + O5:.
