Tweezing out the answer: A microfluidic device combining droplets (less than 100 nL) and magnetic particles (see scheme) was implemented for fast heterogeneous multiplexed assays. Magnetic tweezers can perform the manipulations required in an immunoassay (capture, extraction, mixing, and rinsing).
