Abstract

Two types of torque control of an induction motor are proposed. In these methods, a predictive observer is introduced to estimate generated torque and flux. In one type of control, the calculated torque and flux are applied to the feedback control loops utilizing conventional vector control with slip frequency control. In the other type of control, in addition to these closed control loops, the phase of the estimated flux is used for the coordinate transformation. Simulation and experimental results show that these feedback control methods improve the robustness of the control system against parameter variation.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
