Abstract

Dissolved gas analysis (DGA) is one of the major maintenance tools for monitoring faults in high-voltage electrical equipment in service. An increasing number of oil samples are analyzed for DGA in laboratories. This paper, a report of CIGRE Task Force 15-01-07, evaluates several newly developed techniques to extract gas from oils. Five new techniques were investigated, in addition to standard methods, by means of four round robin tests carried out in twenty-five laboratories.
