2012: from drought to floods in England and Wales

Abstract

This paper examines the exceptionally wet conditions which began in April 2012, abruptly terminating the prolonged 2010-12 drought across England & Wales (reviewed in The hydrological transformation during the late spring and summer of 2012 was without close modern parallel for the time of year.
