Conversion of ferriosilanes to ferriosilanols by selective oxidation of the sih function by dimethyldioxirane

Abstract

Abstract The reaction of ferriohydridosilanes Cp(CO)(L)Fe–SiR 2 H (R = Me, t ‐Bu, Ph, o ‐Tolyl; L = CO, Ph 3 P) 1a–e with dimethyldioxirane (as an acetone solution) leads directly to the corresponding ferriosilanols Cp(CO)(L)Fe–SiR 2 OH 2a–e in moderate to excellent yields.
