Abstract

How did the study come about? Background Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and indeterminate colitis are the three subtypes of disease collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases: relapsing and remitting conditions characterized by chronic inflammation which is limited to the colon in ulcerative colitis, whereas it can involve various sites in the gastrointestinal tract in Crohn's disease.
