Abstract

For the design of the induction motor, the calculation of an accurate response time needs a dynamic analysis using finite element method, where the physical motion of the rotor has to be taken into account. A new practical method, which takes the motion equation of the rotor into account and considers the physical motion of the rotor by an automatic subdivision of meshes, has been developed. In this paper, dynamic analysis, which is a speed response characteristic of the vector controlled induction motor, is calculated using newly developed method. The calculated results are compared with the experimental results. The validity of this method is confirmed by the experiments.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
