Malignant oncocytoma of the parotid gland

Abstract

Abstract A case of malignant oncocytoma of the parotid gland is presented. The theory of origin of the oncocytes is briefly discussed. A short account of the naked-eye appearances and the histological features of oncoytoma is given. It is suggested that angiography may be a valuable diagnostic procedure in detecting malignancy in selected cases.
