Paperchromatography of 2,4‐dinitrophenylhydrazones of aliphatic carbonyl compounds

Abstract

Abstract The separation of 2,4‐dinitrophenylhydrazones of aliphatic carbonyl compounds having 7 or more carbon atoms is possible by means of paper chromatography, employing paraffin oil as immobile phase and dioxan/water (4:1) as mobile phase.
