Abstract

Case-based reasoning (CBR) captures lessons from past problem-solving experiences to critique or find solutions to new problems. Case-based reasoning systems have been used in several domains, both as a problem-solving methodology and as a cognitive model of the reasoning capabilities of the human mind. It is both a problem-solving approach and a computer aid that augments the memory of the human expert.
