Abstract

The interaction force between a 180° Bloch wall and an individual dislocation in YIG crystals is measured as function of the distance between them. It is found that the field of dislocation stress results in the origin of domains of a new magnetic phase both in the regions adjacent to the dislocation core and on the domain wall passing through the dislocation. The asymmetry is revealed of the interaction between the Bloch wall and the dislocation as regards the direction of the wall motion. It is shown that the influence of dislocation on the domain wall motion becomes considerable at distances substantially exceeding the wall width. Possible reasons for the discrepancies between theoretical predictions and experimental data are discussed.
