cyclo-P, like C5H, can function as a 6π-electron-donor in sandwich complexes: Reaction of [(η5-C5Me5)Fe(CO)2]2 and P4 affords 1, which has been characterized by NMR and mass spectroscopy. It is possible that cyclo-P is formed from P and P2.
