Abstract

Abstract Catalytic epoxidation of olefins by hydrogen peroxide in the presence of an electronegatively-substituted iron porphyrin complex yielded epoxide products in acetonitrile solution. An iron(III) hydroperoxide porphyrin complex was proposed as a reactive intermediate responsible for the olefin epoxidations.
