Abstract

Cyclical therapy with clodronate or calcitonin appears to induce a gain in BMD at the lumbar spine in patients with low bone mass after kidney transplantation. This treatment had no adverse impact on graft function but may aggravate preexisting secondary hyperparathyroidism.
